Congratulations on taking a huge step toward creative freedom! I'm so happy that you've made it this far and believe in yourself enough to take this step.
Maya Angelou said, "There's no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." Untold stories live inside us - in our bodies and spirits - creating mental and physical anguish if left unspoken.
If you are here then you've made a choice - a choice to find your most authentic voice and powerful stories. Whether you want to use writing as a way to heal, leave a legacy for loved ones, or publish a book that leaves an impact and provides passive income, I can help! Your unique voice has the power to reveal incredible strength, wisdom, courage, and resilience that, when freed, can transform your life and the lives of others.
When we work together, I practice deep listening; I see you, believe you, and honor your story. I hear your authentic voice; I help find and shape your story. I believe in you when you can't believe in yourself and work with you until you can.

When it comes to teachers, there’s a distinction between lighting the way for someone on the path and teaching them to find the light within themselves and instilling the belief in their capacity to illuminate from within and walk that path, knowing that whatever challenges arise, the answers to the “next right step” will be found. Some teachers will pull you in the dark, some
shine their light, illuminating the path for you to see and others remind you of the light that is within. Maeve’s way of teaching is the latter.
I joined her workshop series out of curiosity about a “trauma informed writing class”. Since then I’ve attended numerous in person workshops and participated in every online group series she’s offered. If you have ever thought “I should write a book”, but don’t know where to begin, or have written some stories and appreciate the therapeutic benefits, signing up for a session with
Maeve is an incredible gift.

I loved that the lessons were tailored to the groups specific needs and progress, so they felt relevant to each of us and helped tremendously to level up each week. This level of attention and engagement feels invaluable and so different from any other workshop. I loved the structure of the workshop -starting with turning points and a book outline made the vision to write a memoir feel attainable, achievable, off the bat. Then having those to turn to each week made me so much less likely to have writers block. I love Maeve's dedication to helping people tell their story, and the validation that our stories are worth telling. I am so grateful to be part of this supportive community of care, attention and accountability to keep me going and remind me why I'm doing this - and to help get through the inevitable bumps in the road.

I wanted to write a book but had no idea where to begin. Then I found Maeve and attended three of her writing workshops. They provided valuable insights into the writing process and the craft itself. The most important lesson I learned was that it's okay for my first draft to be imperfect (or even crappy). This understanding helped me let go of the need for perfection and enabled me to write consistently for almost a year. Now, my first draft is in the editing stage! I'm truly grateful to Maeve for believing in me, helping me build confidence, and giving me with the tools to turn my dream of writing a book into a reality.

When I met Maeve, I was writing sporadically and feeling frustrated because the path to completing my writing projects was confusing and seemingly unending. In just a few short months, thanks to the support and community of Maeve's workshops, I've developed a daily writing practice, cultivated invaluable skills, and created a roadmap to help me finish my memoir. I can't recommend her enough!

I love how the workshop offered a mix of craft and workshop. In my previous experience, the two have been separate. It was great to be able to learn the craft and apply it right away to a real project.

Working with Maeve has had a huge positive impact on my memoir writing process. Before I met Maeve, I struggled to write consistently. Maeve’s support has given me the confidence to stay steady with a dream that has been on my heart for years. I am so grateful for her honest, helpful and illuminating guidance. She also understands the deeper layers of trauma, which makes her a safe and supportive presence during what can be an emotional process.

When I came to Maeve with an idea for a short book on my Amish childhood, she quickly heard a deeper story, one I thought I'd never tell. But finding my voice and telling my real story changed my life. Not only did I publish a groundbreaking memoir that brings me passive income, I found the courage to come forward about my abuse, initiated changes in my community, and inspired an upcoming PBS documentary. Behind Blue Curtains now has 1.3k Amazon reviews with an average of 4.5 stars and continues to sell worldwide.
I spent eight years writing my memoir before coming to Maeve for help. She helped me find the best parts of my story, gently urging me to go deeper in some places and to shed others completely, revealing a memoir that is one of the greatest achievements of my life.
One of the most empowering aspects was Maeve's encouragement to dive into the sex scenes, which we had a lot of fun writing together. Maeve was able to hear my authentic voice early in our conversations and recognize my style in the 600 pages I originally submitted, quickly gaining my trust that the end result would speak my truth. She also guided me through the self-publishing process, vetting and communicating with designers and other service providers to get me the best products at the best rates. Having Maeve on my team was a total game-changer.
Maeve turned my desire to write a book into a true adventure. She listened to and validated my experience then took it to a whole new level. Her background as an investigative journalist was on display as she carefully organized and documented a huge amount of evidence and background info then carefully crafted it into an exciting, emotional, hold-on-to-the edge-of-your-seat thriller. Her personal attention, enthusiasm, and curiosity helped me to examine what happened in ways that not only helped me to heal from the experience, but to put out a book I'm truly proud of.
Maeve is an outstanding coach, editor, and advocate. She has been instrumental in getting my book on the survivors' movement on track and written.
Maeve has helped correct many technical issues and provided guidance on the book's overall structure. She catches duplication errors from previous chapters and thematic inconsistencies.
As a trauma-informed coach, Maeve shares a knowledgeable perspective that points to gaps and deficiencies in my exposition. From her expertise, Maeve shares pointers to arguments and resources that address those deficiencies—more than once, I have been challenged to prove my unsupported assertions and speculations.
As an editor, she ensures grammatical discipline, calls out missteps in logic, and demands evidence in documentation.
I highly recommend her skills in writing your narrative.
