"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you. Every day it claws at your insides, begging to be heard, but you have no words to give it. It festers and grows, a black seed in the heart, sending out roots that twist and choke. And you sit, silent and alone, while it consumes you from within." — Maya Angelou
"Every unspoken truth will come back to you, either as illness or as freedom, depending on when you choose to release it." — Gabor Mate
We're living in an unprecedented time of women reclaiming our voices and, in turn, rewriting the collective narrative. Women are rebelling by speaking, writing, sharing our truths, and empowering ourselves and each other. We will no longer sit silent and alone, accepting the narratives others have written for us. We will no longer swallow our truth or offer apologies for interrupting. It is time for women to speak! To release our truths, find our words, use our voices, and reclaim our narratives. Now is our time to be wild. Now is our time to be truly free. Now is our time to tell our stories. Join us!
WILD WOMEN WRITING COMMUNITY
An in-person, supportive, and empowering workshop series for beginning to advanced writers.
Space is limited. Register today as spaces go quickly!
For questions, please email FYVworkshops@gmail.com
Whether you're journaling, or writing memoir, fiction, essay, or poetry, studies show that writing from our experience can be healing and transformative. And when women come together in a creative space, we can change the collective narrative, empowering ourselves and each other.
Each workshop includes interactive craft and progress discussion, and optional sharing of work and supportive feedback. Capacity is limited to give writers the opportunity to share work and feedback at least every other week.
These workshops are different from the writing groups and workshops you may have attended in the past. They're designed to be inclusive and empowering, led by someone who knows what it feels like to not quite fit in, who was transformed by finding her voice and using it to empower herself and others who'd been conditioned to stay silent. They're designed to feel safe for all participants, while encouraging you to advocate for your needs. The readings and writing prompts are carefully designed to encourage you to go deep, elevate your craft, and break through the barriers that have been holding you back from fulfilling your creative destiny. It's also important that the workshops remain accessible. If you can afford to help sponsor another writer, please choose the Community Sponsor option, and I'll offer you a private coaching session that includes reading, feedback, and ongoing guidance to help you reach your creative goals.
In an effort to create a cohesive and tight-knit community, drop-in and pro-rated options are not offered at this time. We understand if you need to miss a group or two; all readings and writing exercises will be emailed between groups, and you can schedule a private Discovery Call to catch up or ask questions.
